It Really Is an Invasion

Suppose that we were all shocked to learn early one Sunday morning that hostile foreign troops had landed at, say, Virginia Beach. First their dive bombers attacked our ships lying unsuspectingly at anchor in Norfolk, sinking several of them, then their troops swept ashore. We were taken by surprise, Pearl-Harbor style, but it was clear from what had been learned since the landing, primarily from the statements issued by the invaders themselves, that they intended to seize certain parts of the East Coast and keep it for themselves.
The rest of this chilling story hardly needs telling. All other national concerns would be put aside. Across the country work would stop, the workers huddled around the nearest TV sets. The president would take to the tube with reassurances that the enemy would be quickly repulsed. Every last politician, of whatever stripe, would rush to announce his unqualified support for the president, and for “America.” Overnight the military, indeed the whole country, would be mobilized. If recruits were needed, the lines would extend around the corner from the recruiting stations. Patriotism would be unbounded.
Only with a determined effort can we imagine this scenario, so absurd does it sound. And yet, not in the East, but out West, things are happening that have points in common with the nightmare I have sketched.
The pictures accompanying this article were taken in the vicinity of Whittier, California, the place of Whittier College, the Alma Mater of the 37th President of the United States, Richard Nixon. During this past weekend thousands of illegal Mexicans marched in Los Angles, Phoenix, and elsewhere demanding that we excuse their criminal behavior. Following the example of their elders, on Monday students from the Whittier area walked out of class and staged their own demonstration.
The pictures you see were taken outside Montebello High School. Few accompanying words are needed. This is an abject anti-American demonstration in which the students are raising the flag of their hearts, the Mexican flag, and denigrating the American flag at the same time. This mirrors perfectly the actions of their elders in their mass demonstrations a few days previously, during which Mexican flags were waved in profuse glory.

Successful invaders always raise their flag and trample the flag of their conquered foe.
These invaders came not as assault troops making an amphibious landing. Nor did they come with guns in hand. No, guns were not needed because they knew that we did not have the will to defend ourselves. They came alone or in small groups, and they were careful not to provoke “shock and awe,” but to infiltrate, slowly and persistently, over a span of time. So far these tactics have worked splendidly, and the invasion from Mexico is proceeding apace.
But what a contrast! There has been no call to arms, no outburst of ardent patriotism. On the contrary, the president, even at this late date, seems oblivious to the invasion. He even refuses to secure the border over which the invaders continue to arrive.
Can there be the slightest doubt about what is happening here-- and what is at stake? The students at Montebello High School are just youths on a spring rampage you might say. But that would be a mistake. They clearly reflect the dedication of their parents to el reconquista, the re-conquest of the southwestern United States. These reconquistadors won’t succeed in the immediate future, but they have landed troops in large numbers, and are continuing to land them. Already, as we see here, they are causing terrible trouble. And unless interdicted will cause more and more trouble as time moves on.
Alas, this is not like the invasion of Virginia Beach. The emergency has come, not with the storming of a beach, but by simply walking across our unguarded border. But it is an invasion nevertheless. And the invaders are abjectly hostile. Look again at the pictures.

My last newsletter, a few days ago, included a letter to Senator Jeff Sessions in which I had some rather direct things to say about the Mexican invaders parading in the streets. I received a number of communications in response, which I am glad to reproduce below. I give them in the order in which I received them. I have omitted the names, and in a few places a word or two that might hint at identification.

Neither Party will dare do anything to curb the illegals and their crimes for fear of making potential voters unhappy. I assume that the best thing would be for us Euros to take over and fortify these abandoned military bases so we can live there in safety.
I think that Hillary will make Vincente Fox her VEEP. This will give Mexico back the lands us Euros stole. As the Afros see their Welfare decreasing, there might be a problem there.

That is a great letter, Hugh. Thanks for your stance. In our public schools, we simply must demand that English be taught in English class! If students want to take foreign languages, those need to be taught in separate foreign language classes. Our country is losing its unity because of bilingual education and because of illegal immigration. Both must be addressed with an eye toward the future of our country.

I have written to jeff sessions on these issues and appreciate what he is doing. I am a christian and it's my job not to judge others and believe me it is a tough one. They can't call me a racist when I despise the drugs. They can't call me judgemental when I refuse to tolerate a culture of people, when all they do is to tear up anything that they can't screw and rape.
I think it is time to get on the Mexican government for not taking care of their population's education and employment situations in that country.
It is not because I don't love people who do me wrong, I make no appology for not putting up with those who would intrude on my space and take away my blessings. out of sheer ignorance.

This is a joke, right??!! A poor, twisted one at that. Call me a "fool," if you like. I'd rather be in a pool of "fools" who disdain racial intolerance, religious intolerance--and an intolerance for all that defines America. Yes, we are all descendants of other counties and cultures--and this is what makes America what it is: a wonderful country. I think I recall a Statue of Liberty.... What you are advocating is a tremendous sampling of what makes Alabama such an unsavory place to live. Your views are reminiscent of Selma, as well! Is that right? Should we rid our state and country of African Americans, too? Where does the hate stop? Is your church instilling this intolerance in you? Yes, I am looking to make my exodus from Alabama for the very reasons that you're railing against. I don't wish to be a hatemonger, nor do I wish to live in such enmity. I thought God was love! And I choose love for my fellow Americans. Hate will destroy you before you will destroy an entire culture (one of which I find quite beautiful). I also feel saddened to realize that you are my neighbor. Not that it surprises me; it just confirms my insight into the problems inherent in Huntsville, and in the south.. I have had the great fortune of reading your email and attached fax to Senator Sessions. I am in awe at the raw, unmasked racism you display. As a native born American with ancestry that can be traced back to the colonials of Jamestown as well as the Native Americans of Central America, I can honestly say that I belong here in these United States. If you truly study your history you will see that this lands belong to a myriad of people who have worked honestly for generations to make this country great. However, with the likes of racist minded people such as yourself, who are too short sighted to see where we all truly come from, you make me ashamed to call myself an American. These lands, including the land that houses Los Angeles where you have mislabled these people as "illegal Mexican hoards", was and always has been populated by people who were born here and are legally and morally entitled to what the land gives. As one Native American whose ancestry originates in what is now called Mexico says, "The border crossed us, we didn't cross the border." The majority of land was stolen by European immigrants whose lust and greed drove them to horrible atrocities. It is clear to me that there are some people who call themselves United States citizens would continue these unspeakable and unforgivable crimes. I pray that one day racists like you will see that God made all of us and blesses us all - NO EXCEPTIONS!
